[Japan] Masters Scholarship in Bioresource Science from Ehime University
Deadline: 22 December 2005
 Special Master’s Course Program for Foreign Students in Bioresource Science. This is a two-year master’s course program was established to educate people in many fields related to the global and local problems of resources and the environment in order to pursue a sustainable existence for human life, utilizing soil, water, air and plants and the efficient use of natural energy. Not only do we hope to educate scientist and technicians who possess a high level of specialized knowledge in their fields and a solid grasp of the unique characteristics of the resource and environmental problems of a certain region, but also people who can design and implement policy related to these issues.
The Scholarship Covers:
- Scholarship payments A monthly allowance of 175,000 (tentative) is awarded from October 2006 to March 2008 (The term will be extended for six months if the student is doing well). Those who complete the master’s course will be eligible to apply for the doctoral course of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Ehime University, which includes a three-year Japanese Government scholarship.
- Transportation to/from Japan
- School fees All school fees, i.e. entrance examination, registration and tuition, shall be waived.
- Arrival Allowance Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) provides 25,000 (tentative) Japanese yen when the student arrive in Japan for the purpose of setting up housekeeping.
- Insurance The JASSO will cover most medical costs up to 80 % of actual payment.
